  4. The required formula for your garbo.uwasa.fi upload announcements
  5. =================================================================

  7. This is file is ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/UPTEXT.INF. Please see
  8. ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/UPLOAD.INF for our full upload instructions,
  9. including a sample session on how to upload.
  10.  
  11. Please do *NOT* email your upload announcement (or its copies)
  12. directly to the Garbo moderators. Use only the proper email address
  13. alias address given below.
  14.  
  15. Email your MS-DOS upload announcement to pc-up@uwasa.fi. For
  16. Windows uploads use win-up@uwasa.fi, for Unix uploads use
  17. unix-up@uwasa.fi, for the rare QL uploads use ql-up@uwasa.fi, and
  18. for Mac uploads please use mac-up@uwasa.fi. (Please note: NOT e.g.
  19. pc-up@garbo.uwasa.fi but pc-up@uwasa.fi).

  21. As of February 1995 using this format is compulsory if you wish to
  22. have your submission considered for Garbo. If you have absolutely
  23. compelling reasons for not using it, please contact the Garbo
  24. moderators for discussing the matter. We have made some rare
  25. exceptions if there are _very_ good reasons. For example, I am not
  26. using this format myself for announcing my own programs.

  28. If you are submitting a scientific paper, please naturally write an
  29. abstract of your submitted paper as the description in the format
  30. below.

  32. You _MUST_ use a descriptive subject header, starting with a .zip
  33. file name, in your email when you send your upload announcement. It
  34. must be in the email's header. Embedding it in the body of the
  35. message is insufficient. An example
  36.  "gismo10.zip Global Integrated Simulation Model uploaded"
  37.  
  38. If the subject is missing in your emailed announcement or the
  39. announcement is inadequate, your submission will not be considered.
  40. To start with, you must get a positive auto-reply from our
  41. autoresponder.
  42.  
  43. Please indicate clearly if you are the original author of the
  44. program(s). In the case of submitting a scientific paper you must be
  45. the author (or one of the authors) or have his/her unequivocal
  46. authorization.

  48. The format for MS-DOS uploads below is in two parts. First with
  49. comments, then without them to act as your base. Please, use the
  50. latter.

  55. (The file name should preferably have a version number, and if it is
  56. an update, it must. No two different renditions, however small the
  57. difference, are allowed to have equivalent names at Garbo.
  58. Furthermore, if the name is extremely common like rm.zip you must
  59. make it more unique like I would use rm_ts10.zip in this example).

  93.         (Put here any preconditions on the distribution. The most
  94.         common are geographical limitations, eg. for North America

  96.         recent trends, this item must be included!)

  98. Garbo CD-ROM distribution allowed without extra preconditions: (Y/N)
  99.         (The uploader / author must accept and guarantee that the
  100.         uploaded package may be put on commercial Garbo CD-ROMs
  101.         without additional restrictions or conditions, requirements
  102.         of free copies or any other individualized arrangements. This
  103.         item does _not_ waive in any way the author's copyrights or
  104.         the possible shareware status of the the package.)
